Helpful Tidbits About What Faeries Like and Enjoy
*It is a well known fact that all faeries absolutely LOVE to read books, look at books, and have books read to them by their guardians, especially. The types of books depend on the Faerie, however, they usually prefer exciting stories, mysteries, learning about extraordinary people and places throughout history, and pretty picture books, or books with silly rhymes. (We are in the process of creating a list of some of our Faeries’ favorites. Check back soon for the list.)

*Faeries love art and also enjoy watching others color, draw, or paint, or even craft and create things. They often decorate their own spaces with pretty things they find in their Glen.
*Faeries enjoy performing friendly surprises for others. (Fickle Sparrow found this out for themselves when they would find little notes around the house with pretty pictures or kind words; or sometimes they would walk into a room that had been secretly tidied, or find their beds neatly made.)
When we asked the Faeries about it, they told us that Faeries have a “Kindness Code”. Free printable coloring page version of the “Faerie Kindness Code” link here.
It is as follows:
Scatter sunshine in all we say and do
Rain down kindness and courage the whole day through.
Serve in secret and have a grateful heart.
Love will blossom when we do our part.

Many of the faeries we’ve spoken with said that when they follow the code, their heart feels extra happy and their wings “twitter” and make them giggle.

* Faeries love to dance and listen to music. Most of the time they love the same type of music as their guardians, but it can depend, so it will be up to you to find out particulars. (Some of them won’t admit it, but they actually enjoy listening to all sorts of classical music when working on thinking tasks like homework.)
* Faeries do have a hard time when they have to wait or take turns for something. They do silly things while they wait like make goofy faces, hop on one foot while blinking really fast, sing a song upside down (they say this one is kind of tricky, but fun), or pretend they are frozen and can only move their eyes (to name a few) So don’t be alarmed if your Faerie Friend starts doing those types of things. It’s just normal for them.

*Faeries are extra worried about their guardians if they start showing signs of URO Blight (See newspaper article about it here.) They encourage their guardians to read about the IFD’s Instructions to avoid it. Click HERE for those.
*So far, every faerie FS has encountered (except one, but we think she was just feeling grumpy the day we asked her) said they love for their guardian to create a special sleeping space for them. Their preferences vary depending on what Glen they came from, but they really appreciate it.
